Position Summary:


The Senior .NET Developer is a key member of the Identity & Access Management team and is responsible for the design and implementation of Identity and Access Management technologies across the enterprise. The Senior Developer is also responsible for the continued development of the IAM standards and roadmap as well as the creation and maintenance of technical design and process documentation. The Senior Developer will require a strong understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) principles, Access Governance and implementation methodologies. The Senior Developer is expected to be strong in both technical and soft skills, must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve while delivering successful results within project initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills, detailed working knowledge of current and emerging IAM technologies, and experience with implementing IAM solutions in a regulated business environment. The Senior IAM Engineer must be highly knowledgeable about the technical infrastructure environment and must ensure that information systems are proactively deployed in a fully functional, secure mode


 Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to blueprint AutoNation’s existing user provisioning and de-provisioning process to improve process and efficiency
  • Perform detailed analysis on existing user provisioning and accounts to identify various patterns or improvement opportunities while making recommending solutions related to current and future business requirements
  • Manage technical analysis and software development using various tools and methods
  • Key leader in projects as they relate to IAM initiatives involving both internal business partners and external individuals
  • Communicate with clients and business partners aspects of both the product and the implementation at the technical and/or functional level, appropriate for the situation
  • Work with clients and perform UAT pre and post implementation including documenting test plans, debugging, change management, support, and maintenance
  • Meet project scope, schedule, status, and requirements
  • Develop and deliver technical training designed to enable/educate AutoNation IAM implementation support/maintenance team
  • Provide IAM-related troubleshooting services as part of project or post-production support activities
  • Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support activities as necessary
  • Help continue to build and improve the AutoNation IAM processes and documentation
  • Participate in implementation and support that could require off hour scheduling
  • Provide IAM Admin support, when required

  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment
  • Typical candidates will possess 8+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft Stack Development Technologies and a BS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Current/relevant certifications preferred
  • Experience in process definition, workflow design and process mapping
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive experience working with clients, partners and business subject matter experts
  • Experience with creating technical documentation. High Level Design, Low Level Design, Workflow and integration documentation including diagrams and Detail Task Execution plans.
  • Experience with QA duties; (usability testing, performance testing, automated testing, test scripts, test cases and test plans)
  • Experience with software development and scripting languages (C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, .Net and .Net Core)
  • Experience with developing tables, indexes, views, stored procedures in MSSQL. Desired by not required to have one or more additional databases (Oracle, Sybase, Mongo DB, MySQL)
  • Experience integrating systems with Directories (LDAP, AD)
  • Experience integrating with various enterprise HR systems (ADP or Clockwork highly desired)
  • Experience integrating systems with Restful API, SOAP API, WCF or other endpoints
  • Desired experience with identity management provisioning or systems related to IAM management as well as IAM best practices (SSPR, SSO, Provisioning, MFA, PAM)
  • Extensive experience driving solutions forward and actively collaborating cross-organizationally - hands on (technical) and leadership experience
  • Highly motivated and self-directed professional, with keen attention to detail
  • Self-starter working independently to identify, propose and implement solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks
