Sr. Software Developer – AutoNation, Inc. d/b/a AutoNation Corporate Management, LLC – 200 SW 1st Ave Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

Job Description:

Develop and support application suite including web applications and micro services. Participate in Agile-based project development life cycle from planning and design to delivery for new development and production support fixes. Develop digital and web application solutions and enhancements that meet requirements. Complete work assignments and perform appropriate follow up to ensure that tasks are completed on time. Analyze problems as assigned and provide solutions to address business needs. Perform detailed planning and estimation of work effort involved in the development and support of solutions. Assist in the rollout of new applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software. Create consistent and accurate technical and end-user documentation of implemented applications. Mentor junior developers on application teams for best practice methodology and programming standards. Follow development standards for enterprise and application architecture.


Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field. Must have 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Product Developer, Systems Analyst or related occupation with an emphasis on client-server and web application programming in a Microsoft environment, including digital eCommerce Web Development, Agile and Waterfall SDLC delivery experience, technical design and development, programming languages (HTML5, CSS, ASP.NET, C#, Javascript, JQuery, XML, JSON, AJAX, Java, Angular, Bootstrap, MS SQL Server 2014 and Microsoft TFS, Visual Studio, SOA Implementations – Windows and Web Service Implementations (SOA / REST), Object Oriented Programming, Frameworks, Code Generation, Design Patterns and Practices, Web Content Management Systems, web tagging and analytics, application performance tuning and optimization, and working in a multi-shore environment.  Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
