Job Summary: The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. The Parts Manager will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, merchandising and advertising.
Job Responsibilities: o Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them o Ensure parts and accessories are available for resale o Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments o Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs o Establish and maintain purchasing policies including purchase orders, inventory guide figures, order codes o Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department o Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales o Establish and maintain programs designed to train, develop and motivate department employees o Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees o Provide technical assistance to parts department employees o Monitor parts department employees' payroll records o Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction o Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business o Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence o Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers o Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards |

| Required Experience |
Qualifications: o Must meet company's requirements for employment o Two years experience as a Parts Manager at an Automobile Dealership or wholesale parts department o Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information o Two year of supervisory experience o Five years of experience in an automotive parts department o Excellent communication and managerial skills o Must have a valid drivers license o Ability to operate an automobile
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: o Ability to withstand prolonged periods of computer usage and/or data entry o Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods o Ability to work in various working conditions both indoors and outdoors, including but not limited to extreme heat and/or cold, and rain o Ability to kneel, bend, and/or reach above the shoulders |

o A high school diploma or the equivalent o College degree or equivalent experience. |
