Automotive Fixed Operations Director

Job Summary:
The Fixed Operations Director is responsible for the overall performance of the dealership's fixed operations. This includes ensuring each department meets its short and long-range objectives, creating and implementing action plans, and contributing to total dealership goals.

Job Responsibilities:
o Forecast and set monthly/annual sales goals and objectives for the fixed operations department
o Prepare and administer an annual budget for the Service, Parts and Collision departments
o Develop annual service plan for use in connection with annual sales forecast
o Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all Service, Parts and Collision department staff
o Determine and monitor staffing levels, compensation levels, and department turnover
o Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat referral business
o Monitor, control and collect warranty receivables to comply with factory policies and procedures, and allow for management of funds for the dealership
o Serve as liaison with factory representatives
o Maintain highest possible standards of workmanship
o Meet with the General Manager to review current Service, Parts and Collision department performance, set future performance objectives, promotional actives or any other critical matters
o Plan and execute an ongoing Parts, Service and Collision advertising program
o Understand the manufacture's warranty policy procedures
o Maintain a high level of shop cleanliness, equipment repair, and general shop appearance
o Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service and parts operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, ect.
o Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customer, co-workers and suppliers
o Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
Required Experience
Qualifications:
o Must meet company's requirements for employment
o Three to Five years of experience in an auto repair facility
o Two plus years of supervisory experience
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Must have a valid driver's license
o Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
o Professional appearance
o Demonstrated customer service skills
o APS experience and pervious industry knowledge of overall operations, management and wholesale relations (preferred)



Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
o Exposure to inclement weather
o Ability to operate an automobile
o Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending
Required Education
o A high school diploma or the equivalent
o Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
