Job Summary:
The Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the sale and upkeep of vehicles and the dealership property.
Job Responsibilities:
o Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards
o Transport customers and dealership personnel, as needed
o Assist with customer deliveries
o Ensure all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and showroom
o Ensure all window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot
o Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships
o Weather related clean up when necessary
o Building and grounds maintenance as needed
o Other functions and special projects may be assigned
o Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers
o Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards |

| Required Experience |
Qualifications:
o Must meet AutoNation requirements for employment
o Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance
o Ability to handle machinery safely
o Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles
o Ability to drive manual transmission
o Valid state driver's license
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
o Exposure to inclement weather
o Ability to operate an automobile
o Ability to use hand and power tools
o Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch on a constant basis
o Ability to stand six to eight hours per shift
o Ability to lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds
o Will be exposed to loud noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials |
